This 1969 Harmony Rebel is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition. This instrument shows some slight finish checking and some small dings around the body edges and peghead. Otherwise, this Rebel is exceptionally tidy and one of the nicest examples that we have come across. This guitar has a very chunky D shaped neck profile that feels fantastic and is very comfortable and easy to play. The fret wire is in outstanding shape and is free of divots. The neck is straight, the fingerboard is clean and this instrument has been professionally set up with .10 gauge strings. This Harmony plays absolutely fantastic up and down the neck with low smooth action and great intonation. This guitar does not buzz or fret out - it is just a flat out brilliant playing example. The original tuning machines work great and the tremolo operates smoothly. The electronics are all original, have been cleaned and are in perfect operating order. The original DeArmond gold foil pickups sound exceptional and have strong output. This guitar is perfectly suited for lo-fi rock, thumpy fingerstyle blues, quirky hillbilly arrangements, spy music and reverb washed surf melodies. This is truly a funky old vibe machine with a cheap greasy tone that is quite satisfying! The avocado green burst finish is vibrant, attractive and especially cool! This instrument is housed is a very cool old reddish brown hard shell case with music notes on the lid and a pink plush interior.
