This 1993 Fender 62 Reissue Stratocaster is in excellent cosmetic condition. This instrument shows signs of play wear and age throughout including some light pick scratches on the pickguard, some small dings around the body edges (see photos) and some light corrosion and rust on the bridge and bridge pickup poles. Otherwise, this Stratocaster is in excellent played condition and appears to have been well cared for. The neck and middle position pickups have been replaced with a couple of older Seymour Duncans and the bridge pickup remains original. The trem arm is not original and has a black plastic tip.

This guitar has an incredible feeling medium chunky C shaped neck profile with nice rolled fingerboard edges that is super comfortable and easy to play. The fret wire on this instrument does show some signs of play wear but it has plenty of life left and the guitar plays exceptional up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and great intonation. This guitar does not “buzz” or fret out. A great player. The pickups sound great in all five positions and the electronics are in perfect working order. I test drove this Stratocaster through a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb and achieved some pretty tremendous results. The bridge pickup was very articulate and snappy allowing for some really cool country and surf tones while the neck and middle pickups provided fatter and more lush tones that were perfect for pretty sparkling reverb sounds and fingerstyle stuff. The “in between” tones have plenty of “quack” and I was able to get some pretty superb rock sounds with a fuzz pedal plugged into the mix. This is a cool Strat with plenty of vintage vibe and great playability. These MIJ instruments from the early 90s were incredibly well made and this one is no exception!
