This Electra Outlaw is in excellent vintage condition. This guitar shows some signs of play wear and age throughout including some pick scratches on the pickguard and some small dings around the body and peghead edges. Otherwise, this guitar is very clean and vibrant! This Outlaw has a very comfortable medium to thin U shaped neck profile with a 1 11/16” nut width and neck through construction. This neck feels great in hand and is very fun and easy to play. The fret wire on this guitar is in very good condition with plenty of life left and the guitar plays great up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and excellent intonation. This Electra is equipped with onboard Modular Powered Circuits (MPC) interchangeable effects cartridges. This one has the “Power Overdrive” and the “Phase Shifter” - the phase shifter cartridge doesn’t seem to be working. The Power Overdrive cartridge is working perfectly and actually sounds pretty bitchin! The original pickups in this guitar have been replaced with a set of Seymour Duncans - a JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. This is a classic pickup set that sounds excellent and excels with overdriven tones and cleans sounds alike. The rest of the electronics appear to be fully original and are operational. This instrument is exceptional for high gain situations and yes, it will doom. The five position rotary switch is the pickup selector and offers some pretty cool and interesting out of phase and “nasally” tones that I found to be quite useable for certain things and it’s just kind of cool to have the option to get to those tones quickly. This Outlaw is housed in its original case for safe travels. This guitar is extremely well made and unique. If you are searching for an inspirational machine that will lay down some sonic devastation, then this Electra may be the ticket. This guitar weighs 9lb 5oz.
