Excellent condition featuring double “crescent moon” cutaways, semi-hollow maple body, single slash f-hole, single ply thick white plastic “split level” pickguard, two original Toaster Top pickups, five electronic controls with original Rickenbacker black plastic reflector top knobs, three way pickup selector switch with black plastic switch tip, original vibrato tailpiece, adjustable bridge with roller saddles, set maple and walnut ply neck, lacquered rosewood fingerboard with small dot inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Rickenbacker peghead shape, white plastic pointed truss rod cover with black Rickenbacker logo and Made In USA, three per side individual Kluson double line tuning machines, two original Rickenbacker strap buttons, nickel plated metal hardware, Fireglo finish and original silver Rickenbacker hard shell case.
This 1967 Rickenbacker 335 is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition and is fully original throughout. This instrument shows some signs of play wear including some small dings on the body and around the peghead, wear on the back of the neck and some small pick scratches. Overall this Rickenbacker is very clean and appears to have been played but well cared for. The neck angle is optimal and the frets are in excellent condition. This 335 has been professionally set up and plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with nice low action, great intonation and without any buzzing or fretting out. The original Toaster Top pickups sound absolutely fantastic. The original electronics are functioning perfectly and the original harness appears to be untouched. This 335 has the serial number GB 879 impressed into the output jack plate, dating this Rickenbacker to February of 1967. This guitar weighs 7lb 4 oz and is housed in its original Rickenbacker hard shell case. If you are after an outstanding, all original Rickenbacker 335 that sounds and plays tremendous and needs nothing, this example is top notch.
