This 1949 Magnatone Melodier is in excellent cosmetic condition, is all original and is in excellent operating order. A previous owner wrote fret markers on the fingerboard in pen (see photos). This instrument has been set up with new strings and is a dynamite player! These Magnatone models are some what uncommon and were designed to be tuned at the bridge with an allen key wrench which is included. The electronics are functioning properly and the original pickup sounds stellar! From Hawaiian to country and blues, this Melodier will certainly do the trick! This lap steel is housed in its original hard shell case that is also in excellent condition with all working latches and an intact handle. This is one of the nicer examples of this model that I’ve come across in some time and it is ready to play right out of the case. An outstanding addition for any instrument collection and a great playing and sounding lap steel to boot!
